The Suncoast Nursing Accelerated Pathway provides students pursuing a BS in Biology, from either USF St. Petersburg or USF Sarasota-Manatee, a seamless transition into USF College of Nursing’s accelerated Bachelor of Science (BSN) program.

This joint effort by the USF System institutions will enable students to have the unique combination of a science-focused background in the STEM discipline of biology and the academic and clinical rigor of the baccalaureate nursing degree.

Students who meet general USFSM freshmen admissions criteria are eligible to join the first cohort of students this fall, and those who have an exceptional high school academic record may apply to receive a scholarship of up to $2,500 each year, or up to $10,000 over a four-year period.

**The accelerated program prepares graduates to fill the employment demand for nurses and a seamless transition into USF’s nursing masters, PhD and DNP programs.

Classroom / Clinical Sites Location / When eligible to take Florida State Board Exams to become RN:

Classes Tampa, St Petersburg, Sarasota & Manatee Counties clinical Students will have opportunities for local clinical rotations in Pinellas, Sarasota or Manatee counties and the opportunity to engage in nursing research and global nursing experiences.

Become an RN at the completion of BSN: 5 years
